About Soren Capawanna

Soren Capawanna is a veteran program administrator with more than five years of experience in the healthcare field. A graduate of Dickinson College, Ms. Capawanna is currently a Program Coordinator for Boston Children’s Hospital, one of the country’s premier pediatric healthcare institutions. Soren Capawanna has earned a reputation in the field for her proven leadership experience, communication skills, and organizational talents.

Soren Capawanna began her career in the healthcare field as a Session Assistant with the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where she was responsible for coordinating the daily outpatient clinics of three physicians. She also was instrumental in the creation of a multidisciplinary clinic, which combined the center’s Neurosurgery and Radiation Oncology clinics. Her performance at the center earned recognition from her superiors, and she was promoted to Session Assistant II after just 15 months on the job.

In May of 2010, Soren Capawanna moved to Boston, where she was hired as an Administrative Assistant III at Boston Children’s Hospital. Utilizing the skills she had learned at Sloan-Kettering while leveraging her experience in multidisciplinary clinics, Ms. Capawanna managed the brain injury center’s multidisciplinary monthly clinic for more than a year. By May of 2011, she had been promoted to Program Coordinator, her current position with the hospital. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the brain injury center, while working closely with other hospital departments. She is also responsible for promoting the center in the community through marketing and public relations campaigns.

When Soren Capawanna is away from the office she enjoys traveling, bicycling, and practicing yoga. This Kappa Kappa Gamma member and Green Bay Packers fan is also an animal lover who helps foster kittens for the Boston Stray Cat Rescue.
